“Producing and directing movies was always our main ambition. With Claudio Cicconetti we found an amazing synergy that combines production, creativity, directing, managing, taste, style and education. We tested each other on our first movie – an Italian romantic comedy – “Malati di Sesso” that I produced entirely by myself. Shooting took place in Rome, Puglia, Mont Blanc and Paris, and lasted six weeks.
The purpose of this production wasn’t simply to test the connection Claudio and I have, but also to learn all I could about producing movies and we reached this goal.” – Roberto Capua (founder of Light Industry)
The movie will hit Italian theatres by the end of March. After this first film, Light Industry started working, together with other European producers, on the co-production of Brian de Palma’s new international action film: “DOMINO”. DOMINO is an action thriller movie about the delicate topic of terrorism and ISIS. The movie features an internationally renowned cast, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Carice van Houten and Guy Pearce; and was filmed across beautiful locations in Europe such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Spain, Sardinia and Belgium. The film is currently in post-production and will soon hit the theatres.
Light Industry was created to produce amazing stories – dramas, comedies, thrillers, epic tales, sci-fi, and develop them with a solid structure, qualified crews and international casts. Light Industry wants to bring these stories to life for the whole world to see.
